Overview
O’Rourke Contracting PLC successfully delivered the S278 highway works to Snowfields as part of the £160m construction of the new Cancer Center at Guys Hospital. This project proved challenging given the close proximity to the hospital site, and restrictions imposed namely having to maintain continuous unrestricted access to the hospital at all times. This was achieved working in close collaboration with the main contractor Laing O’Rourke, client NHS Foundation Trust and the London Borough of Southwark.
